Visualization of the invisible world for a symposium - example: Science and art are cool

Benefits for Students:

These visualizations can enhance learning by making complex concepts more accessible and memorable, fostering a deeper understanding of microbiology.

They encourage curiosity, inspiring students to explore careers in science or related fields.

For Fellow Scientists:

The visuals can serve as a communication tool to share research findings effectively with non-specialist audiences, enhancing collaboration across disciplines.

They can provide a platform for discussing trends in microbiome research, biotechnology, and environmental conservation

Theater Conference Schein und Sein - Figurentheater zwischen den Welten in Northheim will be for puppeteer 14.8. - 16.8. 2026.

And there we will play our performance Big and Small Worlds, which brings an unusual format of theater and an artistic view of the invisible world of bacteria, as we processed it with objects, puppets and live digital painting on the theater stage. There is always a discussion with the audience, sometimes very long, where we explain things that we did not fit into the hour-long performance, but we studied everything, not only for this performance. But for us, because it is extremely interesting and admirable. Nature still has so many beautiful surprises for us that we would not have to do anything else, just share it, cooperate and help it.

I will also have a contribution about this at the symposium for colleagues on how to work on current topics in today's puppet theater. I try not to only arouse the illusions of unrealistic stories, but to educate and help society go down a better, non-consumer and considerate path. And yet the spectacle is wonderful, the children sit quietly and watch the hour-long calm pace of surprising images.

Puppetry can popularize science. And nowadays it seems desirable to us.

Every day we watch the theater of the world, which floods our minds and terrifies us. The absurdities of politicians go beyond the plot of theatrical plays.

The absurdities of politicians affect our lives, it is a personal attack and a direct influence on our lives. What else can we add to that, to the flood of news, lies, disinformation, commerce, wars and conflicts…? and yet it is not a theatrical illusion. Their goals are different from ours. And it's real, such are the lives we live.

Some large-scale business can be creative. But in the big business world it is creativity for the benefit of an individual, or a small circle of people. The benefits are aimed at private property.

Artists are also creative, but their creativity always turns to others to enrich them - with a book, music, experience, education,.
If it doesn't happen, it won't hurt anyone. It's a contribution to society and often it's not even honored.

And scientists? Science is not truth. Science seeks the truth. When science changes its mind, it doesn't mean it lied to you. It just learned more.

Scientists reveal the unknown.
Mushrooms and trees are a great example of mutually beneficial relationships - And for society.

We want to do our good work for children, but also for adults... we want to sow a small seed of hope with each game. Open the door to a wider horizon
We thought and walked our own path. Today we offer a puppet in digital light, we offer a spectacle where genres intersect - live painting - movement - music and information. All of this arouses associations, imagination and interest.

I will talk a little about that path during the symposium and accompany it with my visual inputs.
