Beginning of the Tineola blog

What we did not fit into the performance and what is not bad to know…

What led us to look into the invisible worlds that surround us in the puppet theater, in which we play in the digital light of the projector?

We are curious people and we sensitively perceive the fragility and vitality of the natural world and the invasion of man with the entire industrial and technological revolution into given, existing and developing relationships. We have disrupted the balance just by the fact that there are 8 billion of us. And we perceive all the gifts of the earth as commercial commodities.

It is no wonder, then, that ecology is one of the most frequently used words of our time. This led us to the question of what we in the theater, we artists, can do for ecology?

In a world that often divides disciplines, science and art stand out as two areas that, when combined, create a fascinating and lively intersection. Despite their apparent differences – science is based on facts and empirical evidence, while art is immersed in creativity and other more abstract expressions – the two share a deep connection that reflects the complexity of human thought and achievement.

Creativity is still largely seen as a part of art, but it is the basis of all creation, including technology, logistics, education, or even in establishing order in our personal surroundings.

An example from history for us was Leonardo da Vinci, who, in addition to art and invention, was also interested in geology and paleontology. Although Leonardo da Vinci has been dead for almost 500 years, he is still remembered as a typical Renaissance man, a polymath, whose curiosity and creativity extended to a wide range of arts and sciences. His conclusions were extremely important because da Vinci was able to understand the relationships between trace fossils and body fossils and accurately interpret them visually even before the development of the scientific method.

Our performances are very visual, at times abstract, especially where we let the viewer stay in the spectacle and affect their emotions and associations.

We do not provide exhaustive information - we want to arouse interest and ask questions.

And on our blog we want to provide all viewers, students and teachers with further answers. And also the opportunity to check our short texts in the performance. We want to inspire them to be interested in things that make sense for our future. And to develop it further. And to share. The internet and the digital world should serve this purpose.

We have learned from bacteria and fungi that it is precisely broad cooperation that gives life perspective and a chance to survive.
