The king suffering with bad conscious becomes ill from sadness and Death carries him away. When the royal throne is empty Singer comes, and at first wonders at it but afterwards he sits down and starts to sing. A hideous old lady Lampampona hears him sing and wishes to get hold of the throne. She allures the singer to dance and dances with him till he drops dead. Lampampona sits down on the throne and thinks she's there for good. But then comes general Bubenok and drives her out aggressively. Then while celebrating the victory the general drinks a poisoned vine and Death comes once again. Becoming useless, the throne is abandoned.
